Anchorage, Alaska

Well it took ten years but I finally made it to Alaska Budokan.  My friendship with Masa Ando began in 1993 when we met in Japan at the Nakakura Hai Taikai.  He has made several visits to Seattle but I just couldn't seem to get up there.

As Vice President of the Pacific Northwest Kendo Federation I am responsible for our promotional examinations.  I was able to go to Anchorage and conduct the examination so they all didn't have to pay high airfare and come to Seattle. We had a good practice and great exam. And their hospitality was warm and welcoming.
